Sport Fees
A FALL Season one-time fee (if you are active in sports during summer, fall, or winter quarter) of $1,725 will be charged to your account.
A SPRING SEASON ONE-TIME FEE (IF YOU ARE ACTIVE IN SPORTS IN JANUARY OR THE SPRING QUARTER) OF $1,000 WILL BE PRE-CHARGED TO YOUR ACCOUNT.
How does this work?
Once you are selected for a team and have been issued gear or start practicing or participate in a summer camp, this fee is applied with no full or prorated refunds available. On-Campus and the Michigan locations offer students the opportunity to participate in NJCAA membership sports. Other locations are being added as the need arises and sports programs are offered in local leagues.
Features Include, and are not limited to:
It is a one-time fall and a one-time winter/spring fee that reoccurs at the same time every year for your annual attendance over the two years. This means, if you attend the second year and are active in practice and/or games in fall and spring, the two fees apply again. One in the fall for practices and games and one in the spring for spring for practices and games. Spring sports start in January. For those starting in the Winter Quarter which ends in February, a pre-charge for the Spring fee is added at the beginning of the Winter Quarter. The pre-charge fee will only be applied if a student participates in Spring sports programs.
If you practice and/or dress out for one game, the fee is non-refundable.
Unlike other colleges and universities, the fee only applies to students playing or supporting the sports program.
The fee is used to cover various sports related costs, such as, but not limited to:
1) Vans to away games
2) Van insurance
3) Food for away games
4) Gas for the vans
5) Lodging for away games
6) Home game stadium
7) Home game sound systems
8) Home game PA announcers
9) Home game electrical fees
10) Home game lighting and field repair
11) Field paint equipment
12) Gym monthly rental
13) Independent judges and referees
14) Two sets of uniforms
15) Work-out clothing
16) Game equipment (footballs, bats, etc.)
